Where to Stay
Here is a complete listing of all the official places to stay in Valbona (as of 8 Mar, 2012, filling in the individual house/hotel info is a work in rapid progress!). Of course, the tradition of hospitality means that pretty much every house you walk past (especially in more remote places) will offer you a bed (or something) for the night, but that’s only for the really adventurous, with no need for privacy, and (especially in August) more-than-ordinarily resilient intestines.
The map to the right (click on it to make it big) can help you get oriented with some basic place names.
Please feel free to email Catherine (catherine@journeytovalbona.com) for help with reservations.

| Sherif Selimaj Guesthouse & Tradita Restaurant
Guesthouse / Restaurant Tradita Restaurant is the social hub of Valbona Village, making it an excellent place for people-watching. When not in the cozy farmhouse tucked away by a small stream, guests can ramble over to the restaurant and while away the hours being part of daily village life. |

| Valbona Bar
Bar / Restaurant / Camping Back in the day, this modest one room shack was the only game in town. Resting on this honor, it’s never changed much and the informality of the place is its best charm. Camping facilities are limited to an outdoor toilet, but the friendly family that owns it will probably find a way to accommodate you.

| Skender Selimaj Guesthouse
Guesthouse Originally built of stones in 1954, this traditional home was renovated in 1999, keeping original elements but upgrading the comfort. One of the peculiar features is a 15m deep stone well built in 1967, a model of antique engineering.

| Valbona T.I.P. Hotel & Campsite
Information Center / Hotel / Campsite This “Tourism Information Point” is listed for the sake of comprehensivity, but honesty requires us to report that it was the subject of much local controversy due to extremely dubious legality. As the design includes street lights and asphalt, we also feel it’s rather inappropriate and out of keeping with Valbona’s general character. It also, as far as we know, doesn’t have any actual information. It’s certainly shiny and modern though.
